About Us
What is the VBBC?
The Virginia Beach Bee Club (VBBC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Virginia Beach. Our mission is to promote and foster community awareness, beekeeper fellowship, education, resources, and overall importance and understanding of the honeybee (apis mellifera) using sustainable, chemical-free beekeeping methods. Our goals are to champion the survival and health of honeybees, to assist local beekeepers with local municipalities and states to invoke reasonable apiculture legislation, to provide support to new and experienced beekeepers.
Announcements:
- Please consider volunteering for an officer position. Our officer elections will be held at the June meeting. Open positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Please nominate yourself if you are willing to serve.
- Yearly dues ($20) are due by July 1, 2025. You can pay online via the website or in-person at our next meeting.
